Man delights not me
There is something severely wrong with human interaction, not that I compare it to a perfect model or anything unreal, only that I see us humans as the perfect race for transcending belligerence and meeting with our abilities for peaceful interaction and compassion. Yet as the most self-aware and intelligent species we act out with the most illogical, disjointed and garbled behavior of all...

Noonday Axeman
Axe-fall, echo and silence. Noonday silence. Two miles from here, it is the twentieth century: cars on the bitumen, powerlines vaulting the farms. Here, with my axe, I am chopping into the stillness. Axe-fall, echo and silence. I pause, roll tobacco, twist a cigarette, lick it. All is still. I lean on my axe. A cloud of fragrant leaves hangs over me moveless, pierced everywhere by sky. Here,...

melancholy [mel-uhn-kol-ee]
I like this word. It’s deep. I prefer not the definition of gloominess or sadness but more a ‘sober thoughtfulness; pensiveness.’ It’s not, for me, depressive in this sense, but more a state of quietly and soberly musing.

Getting my skate on
I love cruising the streets late at night, especially with the new roads laid out - so smooth and chilled. I tend to go with my mate AJ, we ramble endlessly from way out-there spiritual topics, to the most redundant small talk. It’s nice. To ramble is such a nice pass-time.
